Quick answer

Looking for pumpkin coloring pages? Grab any of the 9 free printables below: classic harvest pumpkins, cute pumpkin scenes with pets, and intricate pages for adults, or download all of them in one free PDF pack. Want a page of your own pet among the pumpkins? ColorPaw makes one from a photo in about 10 seconds, and the first page is free.

The pumpkin is the workhorse of fall coloring. It works in September when the leaves turn, peaks at Halloween, and is still completely on-theme at the Thanksgiving kids' table. One stack of pumpkin coloring pages quietly covers three months of rainy afternoons.

So we drew 9 of them in ColorPaw's house style: bold outlines, closed regions, pure black and white, sized for letter or A4. For the fully spooky versions (haunted houses, bats, witch-hat cats), head to our Halloween coloring pages post with 16 more free designs.

How do you color a pumpkin so it looks round?

One flat orange makes a pumpkin look like a traffic cone. Three oranges make it look like it came off the vine. Start with a light orange base coat, press a warmer orange into the grooves between the ribs, and warm the bottom edge with a touch of red-brown. Leave a thin strip of white along one side where the light would hit.

Stems want green-brown, not chocolate brown, and the curly tendrils look great in a brighter green so they pop against the orange. On the adult pages, try coloring each mandala ring in a different fall tone before touching the pumpkin body. The page builds itself outward from there.

Can I get my own pet in the pumpkin patch?

Yes, and it takes less time than carving. Snap a photo of your dog or cat next to the porch pumpkins, in the patch, or wearing the pumpkin costume they tolerate for exactly one photo. Upload it to ColorPaw and about 10 seconds later you have a printable coloring page of your actual pet: same markings, same expression, pumpkins intact.

That is the page kids fight over at the party, because it's not a generic pumpkin. It's Biscuit with the pumpkins. First page free, no signup, and the dog and cat posts show what the conversion does with different breeds and coats.

What file format do the pages come in?
High-resolution PNGs, a letter-size PDF pack, and custom pages as HD print-ready PNGs for letter or A4.
